The challenge:
An extensive library of available clinical education materials was not being utilized because of the difficulty sales representatives had finding the resources.
The solution path:
Create navigable and searchable self-serve library of clinical education materials in the sales and marketing content management system that sales representatives already use frequently.
As the instructional designer and lead on the project, I collaborated with my teammates to collect the existing clinical education resources and curate them to include only the most up-to-date materials that are relevant to the sales representatives' role. I learned how to create HMTL-based pages in Seismic, exploring the possibilities and limitations of the tool. I then created mockups of potential library organization options for cross-functional review to ensure the most intuitive navigation possible within the toolset.
Once the content organizational approach was determined through collaboration with cross-functional partners, I executed the development of the library pages within Seismic. Next, I developed and sent communications for cross-functional stakeholders and the sales force as a whole, including incorporating a feedback survey to fuel continuous improvement efforts over time. As new resources are created and older ones are retired, I update the library page contents accordingly.
To evaluate the usage of the library pages, I learned how to create an analytics dashboard in Seismic, then monitored the usage data over time to determine whether additional communications were needed.

Learner feedback is overwhelmingly positive, and we continue to improve as we develop new and update existing materials.
"Huge step forward in organization! As a newer sales rep, it has been challenging to find resources (or to know what resources to look for). This helps. "
"This is amazing to have all in one place when I am prepping for certain procedures in the field, thank you!"
"Everything easy to find in one place."
"Like how it is organized and that there is a video that has walk through and anatomy highlighted. Also like that the procedure guide is also in the same area."
Complexity of content
Limitations of Seismic page-builder tool
Limitations of available content vs. continuous new product launches
Emphasize the availability of this resource in sales training programs for new-hires as well as continuous learning for existing sales force.
Learners find clinical training materials quickly and easily in a familiar, frequently used tool.
Clinical training materials are available to the entire sales force, regardless of region.
