Anatomy identification
Repeatable and effective clinical techniques related to the specific procedure and complexities
Instrument usage and standardization
Overall efficiency
As the project lead, I have defined the strategy and direction based on the initial needs analysis, provided an instructional design leadership perspective to the project, and acted as project manager to the overall initiative. With input from the rest of the project team, I have defined the development process, standards and documentation needs, and the cross-functional partnerships required to successfully bring our deliverables to fruition. I run weekly project meetings, drive and maintain our project schedule, determine and plan the development of new videos, manage relationships and communications with cross-functional stakeholders outside the project team, review content against established standards, and conduct the content review process through our document control system.
As we execute against the established standards, I continue to look for improvement opportunities, both in the development and execution process, as well as in the effectiveness of the videos themselves and how they support the users' educational and performance needs. As we expand our content offering to provide videos to global regions outside the US, I will partner with the regional stakeholders and customers and define and document the process followed.

Create clinical video library that improves the user experience and streamlines access to educational content
As a cross-functional team, several stakeholders contributed to defining the requirements for a clinical video library as a customer delivery mechanism for the interactive (and other) clinical videos. We specified the priority of the requirements as critical, high, medium, or low. We then translated the requirements to "user stories" that defined the needs in terms of what the users would want and expect of their experience with the library. Each requirement was then selected as necessary to be included in the first release as a minimum viable product (MVP) or to be deferred to a later improvement release.
Videos are organized into collections based on their surgical specialty and specific procedure, and ordered by level of complexity. They can also be filtered by various metadata so that customers can easily find the content they are looking for.
The library experience continues to improve over time, under our project team's persistent direction.
Internal users were not given access to the customer video library initially, so we needed to create an access point for these videos, which must be viewed online for the interactive functionality. We chose to build a gallery page using the video streaming service already in use, and provide a link to the same video in the customer library that internal users could share with customers. We also created video collection documents that sales users could find in the sales content library tool, and share directly with customers, which also provided links directly to the videos in the customer video library.
